Roa early if you're going tanky might be good just to get some ap in there for the heal scaling. Tank or ap this build will bring something to the table for you. This is for your match ups where u cant afford to get grasp procs, or will get pokes out of lane for your short range. The idea is maximum heals to let you sit in lane, play safe and it will be hard to force your recall. * Fleet - reslove secondary - This rune page is essential in my opinion, however you will use it far less than the others. This build spikes very hard at 1 item with 20% cdr, as you will be over 40% with just that but is frail in lane. the ap build obviously gets a lot more from this page than a tanky build however this should be your go to build if you can't afford as many short trades and need to poke. * Comet - inspiration secondary - Any secondary set up from any other tree is pretty good here too but i feel like this is the best. Bone plates or second wind is both preference but also some match ups call for on or the other (take second win against darius hint hint) With domination secondary i really like taking the cdr stat rune (underrated on Sylas imo) to keep a nearly 40% cdr with 1 1/2 items Everyone takes shield bash, however i feel like it lacks impact in some of my games and opt for demolish. I recommend sorc tree in secondary over dom for the mana and ability to cap out your cdr and 1 1/2 items. This is what you will take for most melee match ups. You are most likely building tank with this rune set up, i prefer to rush iceborn most games always w max with this rune set up. * Grasp - sorcery / domination secondary - This is my default as a top laner. If you chose to play Sylas in the Top lane i feel like 3 of these pages are essential to have ready so i marked them with a *. Choosing the right runes for your matchup feels like such a big part of this character. There are 5 different rune pages I've personally been using, literally one from each tree, because honestly this character can get something good from each tree. His w lets him stay in lane for longer than most and he can be incredibly hard to dive, while also pushing his lane advantage well. So why pick Sylas Top? His strengths are good sustain and mobility, his ultimate can make him an exceptional teamfighter/duelist/engage/ whatever you might need, this makes him a pretty safe pick for the solo long lane.

A lot of pages these will definitely be more viable for mid, namely comet and electrocute. I play Sylas Top so i will this is what i've learned from that lane. Sylas has a lot of different ways to make his kit feel powerful starting before the game in his runes so lets talk about it. Firstly, i'm Carrionntv i stream a lot I'm in top 5 top mastery points for Sylas in NA and currently climbing through plat with him in Top.
